New Adult Pathways has identified a need for clients to be supported and provided with quality advocacy when dealing with important matters that concern there basic human and legal rights. Over the past four years, our director has been collecting evidence of situations where basic human and legal rights are being infringed and in some cases totally ignored.
We have observed first hand, our clients being unfairly treated. In order to attempt to address this issue, we offer free advocacy services entwined within the delivery of our Focused Psychological Services (FPS). This service can be accessed for both Medicare and Privately funded clients.
At New Adult Pathways we believe that advocacy involves ensuring that the people we have the pleasure of working with are able to have a voice in a decisions that concerns their lives. It is our organisational mantra, that we must do all that we can in our role as a professional service to make their views known and be heard. However, there is also a broader meaning to advocacy, which echoes our organisations social work values in relation to promoting equality, social justice and social inclusion. New Adult Pathways will always strive to ensure social justice for all our clients and empower them through education to become more aware of their own rights, to exercise those rights and be involved in and influence decisions that are being made about their future.
If you feel that you require some advocacy, please do not hesitate to contact your General Practitioner (GP) for a referral or our admin team by email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 0412 726 245.
